REPLICATION: Some Tiny Frames :)
I figured I would try and make something simple but that I would potentially use for some small works I have at home. So first I needed some wood, which I again, found on the street outside an Ace Hardware in Brooklyn.
I wanted to have rounded edges, my plan for which would be to make the frames and then draw the edges and sand it down. Shouldn’t be an issue. haha.
SO HERE WE GO
Getting started, I needed to section off the cuts for my frame pieces. I measured a length of paper and got to it. I learned that in transporting the wood around the city this morning on the subway, through the rain, and back again... I got some warping. So I simply hoped this would be alright in the end. It turned out to not be too much of an issue.
So I used the power saw and the sander to get my cuts, and this portion went very smoothly! I love both of these tools I think.
You will see that these aren’t perfect. I believe it would’ve been in my best interest to put something heavy down to help with measuring during my sawing process to ensure that the lengths were exactly the same rather than loosely marking them with pencil. At this scale for their purpose, it is okay. But now I know!
Now we screw’em together :))

Okay. So that’s a bad pancake. Realized I should’ve done some pilot holes and also I don’t believe it’s particularly necessary to have four screws per side at this size.
THERE WE GO!
But now I realize that the screws are far too close to the edges to get the rounding effect I wanted. So I imprecisely went at sanding the edges for some rounded corners but more for feel rather than aesthetic.
And upon realizing I had some free time still...
